Cheese Crackers

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup buckwheat flour or spelt flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup edam cheese, grated

4 tbsp butter, grated

1 tbsp cold water

Cheese Crackers - better than store bought crackers and you know what's in it :)

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius.

  2. Add flour, salt, butter and cheese to a food processor and blend until well combined.

  3. Drizzle in the cold water, slowly until the mixture comes together. You might not need all the water.

  4. Press the dough into a ball. If it's still falling apart, add a little more water.

  5. Flatten the dough and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

  6. Roll dough out on a flat surface to 0.5-1 cm thick. Use a cookie cutter or a sharp knife and cut into squares.

  7. Place on a baking tray, lined with parchment paper.

  8. With a toothpick poke holes in the crackers to keep them from puffing up too much.

  9. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
